E.B. joined Capitol Securities in April of 2021. Prior to joining the firm, he was a Senior Financial Advisor with Merrill Lynch for 7 years. He is a Registered Investment Advisor Representative, and holds the Series 7 and Series 66 securities licenses. He holds insurance lines of Authority in Variable Life, Variable Annuity, and Life Insurance.
E.B. earned both a Master’s of Science and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from East Carolina University in 2003. Prior to starting his career in Finance, he served as the Executive Director of The First Tee of the Cape Fear Region.
E.B. prides himself in focusing on the investment and financial needs of high net worth families, individuals, and businesses. His primary focus is on helping his clients uncover opportunities they may not be aware of and achieve outcomes they wouldn’t otherwise be able to by taking a deep dive at understanding their lives and holistically uncovering their needs. He works with individuals and businesses to develop customized financial strategies specifically tailored to each client’s unique circumstances.
E.B. has lived in North Carolina his entire life, and has called Wilmington home since he graduated college. He has 2 sons and 1 daughter who keep him extremely busy. When he’s not working, you can often find him at his kids sporting events or shuttling them to their activities. He is an avid sports lover and enjoys traveling, hanging out with his family and friends, being on the water, taking his kids on trips in their RV, playing golf, picking his guitar, and is a firm believer that life is better with dogs.
